Straight answers about free QR business cards from BCITiny.
Is the QR business card really free?
Yes. The Free plan includes one Business Profile page and one QR code with no monthly fee, and no credit card is required to sign up. Free profiles show BCITiny branding. You can upgrade to Starter later for your logo, more QR codes and no BCITiny ads.
Do I need a website?
No. Your BCITiny profile is a hosted mobile page for your business. If you have a website, add it and customers can tap Visit Website from your profile.
Can I put the QR code on printed business cards?
Yes. Download your QR code from your dashboard and add it to your card design or send it to your printer. Print it large enough to scan easily, and test it with your phone before ordering a full print run.
What happens when someone scans my QR code?
Their phone opens your BCITiny profile page in the web browser. From there they can call you, send an email, get directions, visit your website, save your contact or open your Google Business Profile and Facebook page. Buttons appear for the details you add to your profile.
Can customers save my contact information?
Yes. The Save to Contacts button downloads a contact card (vCard) with your business details, which most smartphones can add to their contacts.
Can I change my information later?
Yes. Edit your profile in the dashboard anytime. Your QR code points to your profile page, so it keeps working and shows your latest details without a new QR code. Anything printed directly on the card, such as a phone number, only changes if you reprint it.
Do customers need an app to scan it?
They do not need a BCITiny app. Most modern smartphones can scan QR codes with the built-in camera; some older phones may need a QR scanner app. Your profile opens in the phone's web browser.
Can I use the same QR code on flyers, signs or vehicles?
Yes. Print the same QR code anywhere customers should reach you, such as flyers, yard signs, vehicle graphics, counter displays and invoices. Make it larger on signs and vehicles so it scans from a distance. Starter adds up to 3 QR codes if you want separate codes.
